ACCA Quality Checked Award

In May 2006, the firm was awarded the prestigious ACCA Quality Checked Award. Only approximately 200 ACCA firms have been awarded this accolade, with only 9 firms
in Yorkshire and 3 firms in York having achieved it ( Correct at May 2006).

Peter Brown & Co specialise in charity and solicitor accounting, where very high standards of
professional service are expected, and our charity and solicitor clients will be very pleased that we meet those standards.

In our general practice, clients and potential clients operating small businesses or seeking tax advice will have greater confidence in us because of this award.

A lot of people are amazed that there is no legal protection for the term ‘accountant’ and that anyone can set themselves up as an accountant. The ACCA Quality Checked mark highlights the benefits of using properly qualified accountants whose standards are stringently monitored.

We hope that this award will give clients and prospective clients reassurance that they can rely on us fully in all their dealings with our firm.
