An overview of resources
The resources section of our website aims to give
a quick link to the most commonly used information
relating to charities.
It is not and never can be totally comprehensive,
but we hope that visitors to our web site might put
this page in their ‘Favourites’ folder
so that they can readily access information on the
internet relating to charities without having to search
for hours..
We would welcome comments and suggestions as to what
to put into this section of the website to improve
and develop it. Please email info@sorpaid.com
with your recommendations.
The resources section is divided into four parts
:-
- News bulletins
– giving details of recent developments, with
an archive of past bulletins.
- Publications
– this gives links to publications on the
web, divided into various categories such as Charity
Commission publications, Sources of Grants, Accounting
& Auditing Standards etc.
- Legislation
etc - this gives links to laws, regulations
and standards that govern the
charity sector including the 2005 FRSSE, the 2005
SORP, a commentary on the Charities Bill currently
going through Parliament and key legislation, including
the Charities Act and regulations
- The Public Record
– this gives links to the Charity Register
for England & Wales, Charity
Index for Scotland and the Company Register for
England & Wales and Scotland.
